Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, Funcom's new massively multiplayer online role-playing game, lets players develop their characters and explore the mythical world of Hyboria. The game offers excellent graphics but also comes with equally breathtaking PC system requirements. Much of the game runs without a hitch, but like many MMORPGs, the true test of the hardware is in the large cities. |

At first glance, many took the headline as meaning the Norwegian developer's massively multiplayer online role-playing game Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures had already enrolled 1 million subscribers. |

According to media outlet News.com.au (no relation to GameSpot sister site News.com), Dan Loton from Melbourne-based Victoria University undertook an honours research project to determine if there was a relationship between games, social skills, and self-esteem. Loton found that there was no direct connection between excessive game playing and social skills and self-esteem. |
